The "Excuses" CD release took place January
14th, 2006 at Raleigh's Lincoln Theatre. Musically Excuses
ranges from well-crafted vocal melodies (Silver Bra)
to down-and-out honky tonk (The Bottom) to bottom-heavy
beats (Battle, Smelling Like a Rose).

Saunter is one of those bands that bring back the classic elements of rock; from the days
when bands wanted to play the best they could and have a good time doing it. They also
have an element of jangly college jam rock along with all of the other influences that
are going on, thus making them the kind of band that could appeal to a wide range of generations.

could blow up into a cult phenomenon.
